What is SSO?
Single sign-on (SSO) is a method of access control that enables a user to authenticate once and gain access to the resources of multiple software systems.
Your users can access Mimeo directly from your corporate intranet, LMS or any other secure system deemed to be a trusted authority without requiring separate Mimeo login credentials to be created or maintained.
- Security is tied to your internal systems
- Reduction of administrative time and costs
- Immediate and automatic set-up of new users 24/7
- Added convenience leading to increased user adoption
- Enhanced user satisfaction and productivity
SSO and Mimeo Print
SSO is designed for use with both Mimeo Print and Mimeo Marketplace.
Existing Users: Seamlessly logged into Mimeo without entering any credentials. Account data will be updated with the latest details, and if your system also provides an internal unique account ID email address changes are supported.
New Users: Accounts are automatically created and appropriately permissioned.
Mimeo’s SSO Technology
Mimeo uses IDP-initiated SAML 2.0: A version of the SAML OASIS standard for exchanging authentication and authorisation data between your domain and Mimeo. SAML 2.0 is an XML-based protocol that uses security tokens containing assertions to pass information about a principal (usually an end-user) between an identity provider and a web service. SAML 2.0 enables web-based authentication and authorisation scenarios.
