Barnes & Conti: Stress-Free Global Distribution of Training Materials with Mimeo

CHALLENGE

As part of Barnes & Conti’s Account Coordination Team, Elaine Turcotte and Dineen Digiacomo are responsible for building materials, scheduling classes and assigning trainers for clients all over the world. Before Mimeo, the logistics behind domestic and global distribution of printed training curriculum was a stressful, time-consuming and expensive operation.
This led to several operational challenges:

  • Significant time spent managing international shipping paperwork and customs requirements
  • High complexity and cost when distributing materials across multiple countries
  • Difficulty combining on-demand printed materials with pre-inventoried job aids into single shipments
  • Limited flexibility for the Account Coordination Team to manage orders independently

To address these challenges, Barnes & Conti partnered with Mimeo to handle all aspects of domestic and international distribution. Mimeo's Customer Service Team took ownership of the full shipping and logistics process, including all international customs interactions — removing the administrative burden from Barnes & Conti's internal teams entirely. Training curriculum is now built and managed through Mimeo's online tools, giving the Account Coordination Team the flexibility to order and ship materials whenever needed. Job aids are inventoried with Mimeo and combined with print-on-demand materials to create fully customised client courseware kits — all consolidated into a single shipment.
